The Building of a Barn.

The Building of a Barn

Framing this monitor style barn; a view from the house.  Thank you Larry Castonguay for all your help with designing and constructing our barn. Seen with Justin Castonguay.

Framing the roof.

Sheathing the roof.

The inside of the barn after the roof.  It was great to have a dry place to keep this past winter’s hay!

We didn’t get to the doors and windows in time 2019.   Summer of 2020 will be busy.

Now that you’ve seen how the building of the barn has come along, let’s look back even further in time to the much harder and longer work of clearing the land and preparing it for construction.

Clearing out the trees and putting in the road.  Thank you Brad Dillman for your excavation skills.

 Preparing the land for construction.

The cement has been poured.
We had this done by the experts.

Piping is in place for plumbing.
Stay tuned this summer to see the progress as the barn is completed.
I will be updating its progression on the post titled:
Building the Barn; The Finishing Touches.
